  • Powerful Metaphors for Personal Growth: Working with horses can mirror personal challenges and behaviors, helping individuals gain insights into their life situations.
  • Experiential Learning: Rather than just talking, participants engage in hands-on experiences that can be more impactful than traditional coaching.
  • Emotional Awareness and Regulation: Horses help people become more aware of their emotional states, teaching them to manage their feelings in healthy ways.
  • Overcoming Fear and Building Confidence: Working with large animals can challenge individuals to step out of their comfort zone, fostering personal growth and resilience.

Lea Alessandrello

My passion to be with horses started early – around 10 years old. I spent 2 years convincing my parents I was serious about wanting to be around horses. I got to start my passion with a couple of donkeys – and I have never looked back. I can not imagine a life now that doesn’t include these majestic animals.

Born and raised in Switzerland I left the country of cheese/chocolate in 2012 – coming to Canada to work at the Wilderness Guest Ranch where I was able to work, play, and breathe horses. My interest in human nature/horse nature and the parallels led me to this lifelong learning journey. There is no better teacher/coach than the horse and I love being able to facilitate people’s journeys with these animals.

I’m fascinated by the herd’s social structure/principles that the horses have and believe we as humans can learn a lot from them.

My inspiration comes from my journey that led me to have horse experiences in different environments. From the English style lessons in Switzerland to the total Western riding in the middle of nowhere in Canada and Chile as a day/multi day horse pack trip guide where my life as well as other people’s lives depended on the horse, to facilitating EAL (Equine Assisted Learning) sessions while being the horse’s co-worker to riding in an arena at my friend’s place in California.

Now I am taking the leap to bring the consistent thread of what I continuously witnessed horses offering us in any environment – into coaching/self-development.

Why? Because in all those different environments I noticed how horses naturally coach us – we might just not always be aware of it… My commitment to help facilitate their coaching power is real. Horses have a lot to share with us and what a blessing to have them coach us through our own journey of personal growth.

My best attempt at putting the gifts from the horse into 3 words led me to these 3 A’s: Awareness, Authenticity and Accountability.
